Turkish schools welcome young Syrians

      Since 2011, more than 3.5 million Syrians have taken refuge in Turkey to escape the war.

      A new project has been set up to receive young Syrians in a Turkish schools, the name of the new project is Promoting Integration of Syrian Children into the Turkish Education System (PICTES), this project is financed by the European Union and costs 300m euros.

       Some 70 km from Syria , Sehit Karayilan school receives young Syrian refugees and nearly half of the 1650 students in this school are Syrian.

       The classes of this school are decorated by children with Syrian and Turkish flags.

        For the Turkish government the integration of Syrian children into Turkish schools has become a priority.

        Syrian children are very happy about this project like 10-year old Eye Kenco "I really like this school. I read, learn and I have many Turkish friends. They're great," he says in perfect Turkish

        The school project has also integrated these families into Turkish society.

Des écoles turques accueille de jeunes Syriens

      Depuis 2011, plus de 3,5 millions de Syriens se sont réfugiés en Turquie pour fuir la guerre.

      Un nouveau projet a été mis en place pour accueillir des jeunes Syriens dans une école turque, le nouveau projet baptisé « Promouvoir l'intégration des enfants syriens » dans le système éducatif turc (PICTES) est financé par l'Union européenne et coûte 300 millions d'euros.

       A 70 km de la Syrie, l'école Sehit Karayilan accueille de jeunes réfugiés et près de la moitié des 1650 élèves de cette école sont syriens.

       Les classes sont décorées par des enfants avec des drapeaux syriens et turcs.

        Pour le gouvernement turc, l'intégration des enfants syriens dans les écoles turques est devenu une priorité.
