Turkey warned France twice about Paris attacker

TURKEY WARNED FRANCE TWICE ABOUT PARIS ATTACKER

 

Turkish authorities said Turkey had warned France twice about one of Paris' terrorist attacker Ismael Omar Mostefai, who was known by the authorities as someone who held radical Islamist beliefs.

In a press release, a Turkish official said they noticed Mostefai's name while investigating four other terrorist suspects in 2014 : « During the official investigation, the Turkish authorities identified a fifth individual, Ismael Omar Mostefai, and notified their French counterparts twice – in December 2014 and June 2015 » the official said.

Turkey shared this information twice but did not get any response until after the attack, when Turkish authorities received an « information request » from France about Mostefai.

Turkish officials knew he had entered Turkey in 2013 but there is no record of him leaving the country. It means he may have illegally crossed the border of Syria but whether he entered in France again is not known.

LA TURQUIE AVAIT PREVENU LA FRANCE DEUX FOIS

 

Les autorités turques ont indiqué que la Turquie avait prévenu deux fois la France au sujet du suspect terroriste Ismael Omar Mostefai, connu des autorités comme aillant des croyances musulmanes radicales.

Dans un communiqué de presse, elles ont déclaré que le nom de Mostefai apparaissait dans une enquete avec quatre autres suspect terroristes en 2014 : « Pendant les investigations officielles, les autorités turques ont identifié un cinquième individu, Ismael Omar Mostefai, et en ont fait part deux fois à leur compatriotes français – en décembre 2014 et juin 2015 ».

Les autorités turques ont divulgué cette information deux fois sans recevoir de réponse jusqu’àpres l’attentat, quand les autorités turques ont recu une « demande d’information » de la France concernant Mostefai.

Elles savaient que Mostefai était rentré en Turquie en 2013 mais il n’y a pas de trace de son départ de Turquie. Ce qui veut dire qu’il a peut-etre franchi illégalement la frontière syrienne. Il n’y a pas de trace de son retour en France.
